GreenZ Orange Peel Removal Kit

Orange peel is a textured imperfection in a paint job and is textured like the skin of an orange; this requires smoothing of the surface. The surface will appear bumpy and won’t reflect perfectly. Mostly, the orange peel used to appear on panels that have been repainted, but it can also come straight from the manufacturer in some cases. Orange peel removal is normally done using wet-sanding and is a complex process and require special techniques and tools. Orange peel can be easily removed using GreenZ XtremeCut Compound 350 with GreenZ Denim Pad on rotary polisher.

GreenZ XtremeCut Compound 350 is an extremely high abrasive compound designed to work on the toughest paint defects like orange peel and 1200 or finer sanding marks with low dust and high yield.

Ceramic coating requires clean paint surface to have better chemical bonding between paint molecules and coating molecules, presence of oil or fillers will make coating molecules bonded with them instead of paint molecules and hence the durability of the coating will get affected. Most of the compounds & polishes in the market contains heavy oils which affect the coating durability.

HOW TO USE

Make sure the surface to be polished is clean and dry. Fresh paint should be fully cured. Apply GreenZ Ultra Finish Polish 4500 out of direct sunlight.
Use a soft foam finishing pad, like GreenZ Hybrid Black Finishing Foam Pad. Apply a 6 inch line of compound to the vehicle. With the polisher turned off, spread the polish over about a 2 x 2 sq. ft. area.
Polish at 1200-1800 RPM (5-6 OPM on a dual action polisher) working slowly across and then up and down the area. Check your work after several passes to see if the defects have been removed. If so, reduce the pressure and continue buffing until a high gloss is achieved. If the pad becomes dry, mist it with water and continue buffing.
Wipe the area with a damp microfiber cloth like GreenZ All-Purpose Microfiber Towel.
Always apply a suitable paint protection product such as ceramic coatings, wax or sealant after polishing.
